FBTO Jij stuurt app for iPhone and iPad

Our new ‘FBTO Jij stuurt app provides an insight into your driving behaviour.

FBTO takes safety very seriously and we think it can be even safer in the future. Therefore, FBTO together with the University of Groningen and a group of customers launched an investigation into car insurance for the future.
 
Part of this research is via a dongle that plugs into your car which measures your driving style. Only when you really know how your driving is, can you improve it. The dongle gathers information from the moment you start your car to the moment you turn it off again. This app works as a companion to allow you view information about your driving habits.

The App and dongle work completely independently from each other and the app never communicates directly with the dongle. The dongle works on its own and sends information securely to our servers and the app is used to visualise this data.

All data and information we collect is kept in a secure environment. 

The University of Groningen is an independent party that analyses the data along with FBTO.

Important Note: This app requires you to be a customer of ‘FBTO Jij stuurt’ who will provide you a dongle for your car. You cannot use this app without having an insurance policy with ‘FBTO Jij stuurt’.
